Data Governance Analyst (1426)

Compensation: $90-105K annually depending upon experience.

 

Summary: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Governance Analyst for an on-site position in Monterey, CA. This role will work cross-functionally to implement and enforce data governance and quality standards, manage and maintain the enterprise data catalog, perform ongoing data quality assessments, and support key data initiatives across the organization.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data governance frameworks and enforce data quality standards.
• Manage the enterprise data catalog, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and completeness of metadata.
• Conduct data profiling, validation, and cleansing activities to ensure data integrity across systems.
• Define, monitor, and report on data quality metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
• Support data management initiatives, including Master Data Management (MDM) and data lifecycle practices.
• Contribute to the development and optimization of ETL processes for integrating data from multiple sources.
• Analyze datasets using tools such as SQL, Excel, and Python to identify trends, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Provide subject matter expertise in data governance and quality best practices.

 

Job Qualifications: 

• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance best practices.
• Strong knowledge of data quality assessment techniques and data cleansing processes.
• Proficient in data profiling and validation methodologies.
• Ability to define and implement data quality metrics and KPIs.
• Proficient in SQL, Excel, and/or Python for data analysis.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies.
• Experience supporting or working with ETL processes and data integration workflows.
• CompTIA Security+ certification, demonstrating a commitment to security and compliance standards.
